Columbia University was founded in 1754.  It is located in the Morningside Heights neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City.

Columbia has more than more than 25 teams in the Ivy League of the NCAA.

Barack Obama is an  alumni of Columbia University. Both Theodore Roosevelt and Franklin D. Roosevelt attended Columbia Law School.
